Able Community Care has been providing Live-In Care in Suffolk since it's the foundation in 1980. We've cared for many people in the county ranging in age from early twenties to centenarians. All our clients have high dependency care needs and require care support twenty-four hours each day. Our Live-in Home Care Service provides that level of support, and as a result, our clients have been able to remain living in their own homes rather than moving into a residential care setting.
Suffolk is a rural County, for older and disabled people who live in villages where there is no public transport or in a hamlet with only a few homes, often find difficulty in accessing the care services they need due to their location.
Care providers in the County offering hourly care support often find it challenging to recruit in rural areas, and as a result, some areas have no care services that are accessible.
Live-in continuous Care removes that problem as our carers will find their way to your home and will remain to offer support for seven or fourteen-day periods before they are replaced by your next carer.
It is our objective to provide for everyone using our Live-in Home Care Service a rotational system of carers whom our clients feel comfortable with and who provide appropriate care.
Kate is the Care Manager for the Counties of Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. She has held her position as Manager with Able Community Care for 12 years and knows all her clients and many of their family members.

Able Community Care has been providing the real alternative to moving into a residential care setting for over 40 years. Our continuous home carers can cover all towns and villages across the county of Suffolk, including Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge, Saxmundham, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Felixstowe, Framlingham Lowestoft, Newmarket and Sudbury.
One of our Suffolk clients is Rachel. In 2012 Rachel became a widow and found that because of her poor sight, she was not able to live on her own. Not wanting to leave home and the village she had lived in for many years, Able Community Care was asked to provide a Live-in Home Care Service for her in 2013.
Five years later, we still care for Rachel and her continuous care is provided by a rotational system of live-in carers, which Rachel has chosen. Rachel has an Able Care Manager whom she knows and with whom any problems that do occur can be referred to.
In addition to providing our Live-in Care services around the County, we are also able to provide Home from Hospital Care, Respite Care and accompany Suffolk people who need care support on holidays of their choice.
