We are a trusted and long-standing live-in carer agency providing private 24hr live-in care in Manchester for the elderly and those in need.
Live-in care the alternative to a care home which offers the best quality of life for people who require constant care and support. Able Community care live-in home care service is tailored to meet the needs of people in Manchester, across the entire UK and Channel Islands.
Our Carers responsibilities include companionship, personal care, cooking and preparing meals, housekeeping, shopping, also attending doctors and hospital appointments, visiting friends or family and other social events.
All our Live-in Carers have a minimum of one year’s professional experience in the care sector, and all have an up to date DBS (formerly Criminal Record Check).Unlike many care agencies, we interview all potential carers, face to face (No Skype, FaceTime or telephone interview sessions). We write for our own references and verify them upon return. Live-in Care Workers on our Register regularly update their care training certification, and many of our Carers have been with us for more than ten years.
Quentin is one of the clients we support in the area. In his late forties he was diagnosed as having MS. Wanting to stay in his familiar home but needing support 24/7 Quentin decided to try a Live-In Care Package. His decision was a success, and we have been supporting Quentin in his own home in conjunction with his other care professionals for nine years.
Bella is now 86 and physically frail. With no close-by family support but with their agreement, in 2017 a Live-in Care Package was trialled and has been continuous since the first day a care worker was introduced into Bella’s home. Like Quentin, Bella has a regular, rotational system of care workers who are liked and provide domestic support, personal care support and provide companionship. For many people, the opportunity to have someone with them enables them to pick up the social aspects of their life again. On a nice day, a trip out to a cafe or a garden centre, on a Sunday perhaps to attend church, any afternoon the opportunity to have a friend round with someone else to bake the cake and make the tea.
