Live-In Care in Hertfordshire

Able Community Care has been providing long term, Live-In Care in Hertfordshire for over 30 years. During this time, we have provided care for Mothers, Fathers, Sons and Daughters and often for other members of the family in different parts of the country.

Live-in Care is a true alternative to moving into a residential care setting and allows flexibility which can be adapted to the way a person wishes to continue to live in their own home.

Our Live-in Care Workers will offer domestic support, personal care assistance and companionship and by being there the opportunity to facilitate other social activities of choice.

Having a Live-in Carer gives other relatives, friends and advocates the security of knowing that another person is in the home removing the anxiety living alone often causes relatives.

Our Live-in Carers all have a minimum of one year’s professional experience which has been verified by us as part of our recruitment processes.

They continually refresh their training. All our Carers have a Criminal Record Check (DBS) and other documentation such as insurance is regularly checked by us.

We do not sub-contract from other care recruitment agencies, we interview face to face, not SKYPE or telephone interview and we obtain two references which we telephone check as to their validity.

It is our objective to provide each person we support with care workers whom they choose to support them. Care workers whom they feel happy and comfortable with to have in their home.

One gentleman in Hertfordshire is the second family member we have cared for. Keith, who is physically disabled came to us in 1997 and since that time we have provided him with a continuous, Live-in Care Service which is overseen by his supportive family.

John, who also lives Hertfordshire, came to us in 2001 and recently, with his care worker, spent time as part of an adventure, getting to the summit of Mount Snowdon.

Each of our clients has a named Care Manager and we are available to talk to twenty-four hours a day throughout the year.

In addition to providing our Live-in Care services in Hertfordshire we are also able to provide Home from Hospital Care, Respite Care and accompany people who need care on holidays of their choice.
