In 2010 Able Community Care published a cookery book titled Able to Cook. As we were a Norfolk company all the donated recipes came from people who had a connection to Norfolk. The famous and the not so famous contributed and all profits from the book were donated to charity.
The following recipe from Able to Cook is a ‘treat’ recipe, perfect for these Coronavirus times we are living through.
Ingredients:
· 4 oz of margarine
· 1 tablespoon of golden syrup
· 1 tablespoon of sugar
· 8oz digestive biscuits crushed
· 1 level tablespoon of drinking chocolate or cocoa
Place margarine, golden syrup and sugar in a saucepan and gently melt. Take off the heat and stir in other ingredients mixing well.
Spread out into a 7inch tin and leave to set.
When cold melt a bar of chocolate and spread over the fudge – leave till cold then cut into fingers.
